Street photography
Although street photography has been practiced since the very beginning of photography, pioneer Henri Cartier-Bresson laid the foundation for it as an art form in the 20th century. He is probably best known for this work and the recurring theme in all his photographs: "The Decisive Moment."
Abstract realism
What makes this form of photography so compelling is the pursuit of balance through structure, lines, division of space, and color within the subject. JRobert finds his subjects almost everywhere when it comes to this style of photography. The subjects he chooses often reflect themes of decay, a lived-in quality, and a connection to the earth.
