Schoonheid is in het oog van de aanschouwer
Ik ben Joke Küppers en woon in Vlissingen, waar ik geniet van de zee en het heldere zonlicht.
Als creatieve autodidact heb ik veel manieren van schilderen (bijenwas, aquarel-, zijde-, acryl- en/of olieverf) uitgeprobeerd. Uiteindelijk vind ik het werken alcohol inkt het allerleukste vanwege de heldere kleuren die mooi in elkaar overvloeien, waardoor er veel uitdaging in zit om tot een goed eindresultaat te komen. Want alcohol inkt heeft echt een eigen willetje waardoor ik vaak mijn idee/doel moet bijstellen. Gewoon "go with the flow"!
Ook werken met bijenwas is niet te versmaden. Het pigment daarvan is voller en warmer.
Kortom, uitdaging genoeg om mooie dingen te maken en met jullie te delen!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I am Joke Küppers and I live in the Netherlands in Flushing (Vlissingen) where I enjoy a life full of bright sunshine, the sea and the bright, vivid colours.
As a self-taught creator I tried several ways of painting (encaustic, water colour, silk, acrylic and oil). Eventually I prefer to work with alcohol ink because of the brightness and the flow of the ink colours. This gives me quite a challenge to get to the final result which I had in mind. But sometimes it’s just “go with the flow”, because alcohol ink has a mind of its own.
Encaustic art is also a very nice discipline. The pigmentation is warmer and richer.
So enough challenge to make beautiful things to share them with you!
