My passion for photography was inspired by my father, an avid amateur photographer who bought me my first camera when I was a young boy. Originally from the Netherlands Antilles, I spent much of my childhood in South America and the United States, where the dramatic landscapes and vibrant culture had a strong influence on the way I saw the world around me through my lens.
