Zoltán Palugyay op canvas, dibond en poster door Peter Balan

Zoltán Palugyay (1898-1935) was a Slovak painter. He is considered a formative pillar of modern art in Slovakia. The motif of village houses became the subject of his work, expressing the parable of national and human destiny, depicted in different seasons. Additionally, he often depicted other landscape and figure motifs, village corners, landscape panoramas, or groups of trees. A portion of his work also consists of numerous still lifes. Occasionally, he painted portraits as well.
