Born in St. Petersburg (northern capital of Russia) I do not remember myself without a charcoal or pencil in my hands. That probably means that I was drawing before I can recall myself. An academically trained artist I used to step out of the pure academic tradition, using my technical skills and natural sense of color for free, and unbiased expression of my perception of the world. I see an art object as an entity of highly condensed emotional energy. My artistic credo is to craft the objects which use this energy for keeping our life on the upbeat.
