Pomegranate Split — Caravaggio Light

Diepe, bijna zwarte achtergrond. De inspiratie voor dit werk komt voort uit de wens om een eenvoudig visueel idee te vertalen naar iets sfeervols en gedenkwaardigs, waarbij het onderwerp wordt gebruikt in 'Pomegranate Split — Caravaggio Light' as more than decoration and turning it into a quiet focal point with presence. The atmosphere is designed to feel calm, refined, and gently immersive, so the viewer notices both the main form and the smaller details, textures, and transitions that reveal themselves more clearly over time. Rather than telling a literal story, the work aims to communicate stillness, sensitivity, and a sense of pause, giving the image a personal and contemplative character without becoming heavy or overly dramatic. Technically, the artwork is imagined through layered digital image-making with a painterly finish, where composition, texture, and edge control are used carefully to keep the result expressive and polished; details uit de opdracht, zoals een stilleven in olieverf in de Caravaggio-chiaroscuro-stijl — een enkele granaatappel die dramatisch is opengespleten, met robijnrode zaadjes die op een donker stenen oppervlak vallen.
